I am a Kentucky native and began painting in watercolor while living in North Haven, Connecticut. In addition, I have lived in Tennessee and Illinois and now reside in Crestwood, Kentucky. I have been painting professionally since 2002, and have had the privilege of being invited to study in Monet’s Garden in Giverny, France on “Artists Monday,” when the Garden is closed to the general public. This was a wonderful time for learning and refecting in a most remarkable place. I also studied and painted where the Impressionists painted, The Provence of France.

I share my love of the beauty of watercolor painting with my mentor and sister, Gail McDaniel, a respected and recognized artist and watercolor instructor.

The greatest gift I have received from painting is the ability to “see with the artists’ eye”, all that is. The beauty of watercolor for me is the seductive, translucent glow and watching the interplay of the colors as they mix on the paper to create wonderful surprises. - Pam Tallman
